Japanese Themed Card

Hello! Just a quick post for you today. I have the pleasure of working with one of the local scrapbook stores, Whimsy. This time around I got to play with a super cute set of stamps by Hero Arts called Japanese Garden. I'm a huge of tree/plant stamps so when I saw the tree that is available in this set, I instantly knew it had to be mine. I decided to challenge myself with this project and bust out of my shell by NOT using the tree :). You know how sometimes you can buy acrylic stamps and they will never stamp right no matter how much scrubbing you do? Well, this stamp set is not like that at all. With one quick scrub to condition the stamp set, it stamped beautifully. I used both Momento Ink and Tim Holtz Distress Ink with no problems.

Want the details? Well, it's pretty simple! The cardstock is by American Crafts and Coredination. The designer paper is by Graphic 45. It's actually a Christmas paper line but this design can easily be used for non-christmasy projects. I used a flower embossing folder by Sizzix on the designer paper. The twine is by Jillibean Soup and the little leaf punch is by EK Success. I paper pieced the red sash on the little girl. The little pearls are by Queen & Co and finished off this card perfectly!

That's it! Not too hard of a project and didn't take me forever to do. I don't typically cut stamps out so this was definitely a challenge for me. Hope you've enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by!
